Data Scientist @Sportsbet
I love researching, problem solving and innovating with data! Sports technology is where my expertise is; plus getting hands-on and practical to keep pushing the boundaries. I was awarded my PhD in September 2020, majoring in data analytics and inertial sensors in sport science from Victoria University. The research in my thesis, titled "An Investigation into Kicking in Women’s Australian Football," achieved a distinctive multi-disciplinary approach to investigating Australian Rules football women’s National competition (AFLW) skilled performances, including a proposed concept of a semi-automated kick-type classification system using inertial sensor units for skill monitoring and establishing the biomechanical characteristics of elite women’s Australian football kicks. During this time, I published four peer-reviewed academic papers as the first author and presented my work at two international conferences.
