In one sentence, what are you building?
I'm building Khet, an app that uses satellite data to show farmers exactly where their crops are struggling, days or weeks before they'd notice it by walking the field.
What problem are you solving?
Farmers can only see what's in front of them on the ground, which means a lot of damage, from water stress, pests, or disease, spreads for weeks before anyone notices. By the time it's visible, the crop is already hurt and the farmer has already lost money. Only 27% of US farms use any tool to catch these problems early, and worldwide, pest and disease stress alone costs farmers $290 billion a year, most of which could be prevented.
