What problem are you solving?
Landlords keep security deposits they are not entitled to, and most renters never fight back. Not because the money does not matter, but because winning requires three things tenants rarely have: evidence they collected months ago, housing law they understand, and the confidence to confront a landlord. **RentProof gives tenants all three.** On move-in day, the tenant photographs the property and Gemini documents every existing defect, creating a timestamped baseline that cannot later be blamed on them. On move-out day, they photograph it again. Gemini compares the two sets of images, identifies what changed, and classifies each deduction as **pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or tenant-caused damage**, with an estimated repair cost. In one real test, a landlord claimed **$2,284** in deductions. RentProof identified **$200** as legitimate and built the case that the remaining **$2,084** should be returned. Then RentProof turns evidence into action. Exa retrieves the governing statute from authoritative sources so the system cites actual law rather than relying on model memory.
