In one sentence, what are you building?
SixSense is a web app that listens to short slices of the sound around you and turns them into words, describing what is really happening for people who cannot hear it, and reimagining those same sounds as creative, dreamlike scenes for anyone who wants to feel their space in a new way.
What problem are you solving?
Sound carries a constant stream of information that many people never receive. For deaf and hard of hearing people, that means missing what happens around them, a knock at the door, a kettle boiling over, someone speaking nearby, an alarm going off, and SixSense gives that information back as clear text. But it is not only an accessibility tool. Its second mode, Imagine, turns the sounds of your surroundings into a creative, dreamlike picture of the place you are in, so anyone can experience their environment in a completely new way and set their imagination free.
