What are you building?
Curio Tales is an AI-powered interactive storybook where kids build stories with their voice. No typing — just speak, and the story comes alive.
Problem Statement
Curio is solving the problem of personalized, interactive storytelling for children.
Right now, kids consume stories passively — they read or listen to fixed books. Curio flips that: a child
describes their hero, their world, and their quest, and an AI generates a unique illustrated storybook just
for them, in real time. They can also steer the story as it unfolds by deciding what happens next.
The core problems it addresses:
1. Generic content — kids' books are one-size-fits-all. Curio makes the child (or someone they love) the
hero of their own story.
2. Passive consumption — Curio makes storytelling interactive. The child has agency over the narrative.
3. Barrier to creation — creating a personalized illustrated book used to require an author and an
illustrator. Curio collapses that to three prompts and a few minutes.
4. Replayability — every story is unique, so there's no "I've read this one already.
